It uses streamed TTS (text-to-speech) with sub-900ms latency, so responses feel conversational. It's not indistinguishable from a human, but callers consistently describe it as "better than expected" β far smoother than "press 1 for sales" phone trees.
What happens when the AI can't understand or handle a call? βΆ
The AI handles this gracefully. If it's unsure about an answer, it says so honestly and offers to connect the caller to a team member. If it detects frustration or a complex query, it initiates a warm transfer. Your team receives a whispered briefing with the call context before being connected. No caller is left hanging.
Do I need a new phone number for the Voice AI? βΆ
You can either use a new DID (Direct Inward Dial) number provided via Vobiz, or forward your existing business number to Amezly's Voice AI. Call forwarding is set up in your telecom provider settings β we provide step-by-step instructions. The Vobiz DID is an Indian number so all calls are local rate for your customers.
Can the AI handle calls in regional languages other than Hindi? βΆ
Currently the Voice AI natively supports Hindi and English, including Hinglish (a natural mix of both). Regional language support (Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi) is on our roadmap for Q3 2026. The chatbot and WhatsApp bot already support 8 regional languages β voice is slightly behind due to TTS quality requirements.
Can I listen to call recordings? βΆ
Yes. All calls are recorded (with required caller disclosure at the start of the call) and available in your Amezly dashboard. You get the recording, the full transcript, and an AI-generated 2β3 line summary. Recordings are retained for 90 days by default, or 12 months on Enterprise plans.
Which plan includes the Voice AI Agent? βΆ
Voice AI is included in the Growth plan (βΉ2,999/month) and above. It includes up to 500 inbound minutes and 200 outbound minutes per month. Additional minutes are billed at βΉ1.20/minute for inbound and βΉ1.80/minute for outbound. Enterprise plans include unlimited minutes with a dedicated DID number.
